Hey Dylan,
ReplyDeleteLoved your elevator pitch. I think it was clear and simple and straight to point as all elevator pitch should be. The fact that you even mentioned statistics in the pitch, gives a clear understanding of how your product competes with others and how you have presented an opportunity most are looking for. I also like the fact that you weren't too descriptive on how the company functions as far as prices, service, and other aspects, which keeps consumers interested and more likely to look into your idea.
This was good and an interesting and entertaining idea but i think a lot of tree huggers are not going to like this. This was a very clear and blunt way of pitching your product and also had factual information about people spending money on gardening. I thought it was very funny how you mentioned plants are like kids when you then present that the product is too replace your dead plants every week!
ReplyDeleteGreat Idea, dude! and even better delivery. I had never thought about a subscription based yard service that is constantly replacing they plants in your yard with newer, better seasonal plants. I hope they all pop with bright colors and smells and look great! A good thing to include would be that all the plants in the service are local to fight against invasive species that are disrupting our ecosystems.
ReplyDeleteDylan,
ReplyDeleteThe idea and the potential in the idea is there. Your presentation could've been better -- I can tell you're reading a script that you wrote prior to your pitch. I think what makes people attracted to a product, is the people selling the product and their ways of doing so. In a real pitch, you won't be allowed a script -- you'll only be able to use your mind and knowledge of semantics. Nonetheless, there is a lot of potential in this business idea. You have a small target market, but I'd imagine the consumers in that market are dying for a service like yours.
