Solving the Problem
The opportunity is that there is a deliver for a online delivery for plants to customers houses. The concept behind this service is that many people do not know how to take care of plants. So there is a need for new plants to be delivered to them when the plants die. People have to go to gardern centers at Home Depot or Lowes to get plants. The selection at these garden centers are very limited. I believe people would find it convenient to have fresh plants delivered to them monthly rather than them having to drive and pick them up. The service I have chosen to do is subscription service for plants. This service will deliver plants to customers who sign up for the service. Customers will be delivered plants monthly. The plants will be from orchids to foliage plants. People can chose online which plants they want delivered to them. They can also the chose the quantity that they want delivered each month.
Dylan,
ReplyDeleteI think that this is actually a really good idea. I remember specifically going to Home Depot with my mom when I was a kid and always thought how hectic the garden section was. No one knew what they were grabbing and definitely would not know what to do with it when they get home. This service solves that problem. Good work
Dylan,
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting idea. I have never thought that people would order plants but 20 years ago people wouldn't think shopping malls would ever go down hill due to online ordering. I mean crazier things have defiantly happened and this one could actually take off in my opinion. Good looking plants always turns the head and if homeowners can have that every month to what they want then that's a great investment for them.
Dylan,
ReplyDeleteVery unique business concept you've introduced here. Also, very complex and diverse. Many plant-lovers live in ecosystems that allow their plants to live year-round, and many plant-lovers love plants that don't die within a few weeks. It would be difficult for your business to appeal to these consumers, but fortunately, you still have consumers who deal with plant deterioration on a consistent (daily-monthly) basis. This is your target market! What I really enjoy about your business idea is that it eliminates the middleman. In modern society, a business which can remove the middleman can turn out to be a very profitable business. Instead of paying for plants and plant maintenance every month, consumers can pay a one-time payment which covers both! If your business idea can save a consumers' money on a monthly/annual basis, then it has much potential to flourish!
